This guy is supposed to be a Vassorine Jannisary from the Eisenhorn Trilogy by Dan Abnett. I didn't refer to the novel and haven't read it for over a year, so I've probably forgotten some important detail. I based him on Tartar warriors of Central Asia and also on a PC from the Dark Heresy game I'm running.
